This is a diary so to speak. Documenting the outdoor activities I enjoy. Currently I'm trying to master windsurfing so that subject will be covered extensively. If you read this don't expect award winning writing as it was never really a strong point for me. You may however find a cool photo or two.

Today is the kind of day you hate to miss.

Unfortunately that is exactly the way it turned out. Any other day of the week and I would have been all over it.
It's not that a SE 20 knot day is rare around here it is just that they are rare this time of year. July and August only see maybe one or two days like this. To top it off this was at one of my favorite SE launches. York River Seafood and the tide was going out. When that happens you end up with a glassy smooth transition area behind one of the marsh islands, a semi flatwater transition in front of the launch and some nice rolling swell in between to play on or jump if you so desire.
Here is the graph....

Man, wish I could have been there. I remember just a few times that YRS was that good on a SE thermal. Woo hoo!

Think of it as building good karma. Surely there must be a silver lining to missing wind.

Either that or pull your hair out...that's what I do!
