This is a diary so to speak. Documenting the outdoor activities I enjoy. Currently I'm trying to master windsurfing so that subject will be covered extensively. If you read this don't expect award winning writing as it was never really a strong point for me. You may however find a cool photo or two.

Mini Gorge session

Not really but I thought that would get some ones attention.

Sailed at my parents place today (mini gorge). The wind never got above 14 but I did get my 145l/7.8 combo up on plane once. The timing couldn't have been better either. It was just as a Cigarette boat with some attractive ladies onboard went by. I was able to come across their stern and zip over their wake and give a little wave. Rather than bobbing like a cork and falling in. Hopefully I represented how cool windsurfing is.... LOL!!

I pulled out the longboard and continued the session. The tide was running in pretty strong so even with the light winds there was some small rolling swell coming down the river. 1 1/2 to 2 foot. The way it was working you could catch it and use it to get on plane when headed outbound. Coming back had there been more wind it would have made some nice ramps.

It was nice to sail there today even though conditions were much better over at the York River Seafood launch. I didn't have to drive far or do battle with OBX bound I-64 traffic plus I was able to watch the Eagles and their young flying around while I was sailing.
